Mammography
Mammography combines low level x-rays and breast compression to evaluate breast tissues for signs of cancer, micro calcifications and other breast-related diseases. The goal of mammography is the early detection of breast cancer by following the recommendation of a yearly screening exam beginning at the age of 40. Women under 40 who have risk factors for breast cancer should seek advice from their primary care provider.
