Hocking Hills Jeep Run returns Oct. 3-5

The annual Hocking Hills Jeep Run hosted by Hocking Hills Podcast will take place Thursday, Oct 3rd through Saturday, Oct 5th in celebration of the spectacular fall colors in the scenic wonderland of Hocking Hills.

“For 83 years, Jeep has been touching the lives of Jeep enthusiasts around the world. Hocking Hills Podcast is excited to celebrate that rich history and the Jeep brand with our annual Jeep Run in the Hocking Hills,” Michele Mauder, co-host of the Hocking Hills Podcast, said.
This is the fifth year Hocking Hills Podcast has hosted the Jeep Run, with all profits from the event benefitting Hocking Valley Community Hospital Foundation.
“We’re so proud to sponsor the 2024 charity run to benefit Hocking Valley Community Hospital, our treasured medical campus in the region,” Mauder said.

The three-day event kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 3, with a volunteer hiking trail clean up and optional class for those looking to learn the basics of off-roading led by Discover 4×4 Adventures from Southern Michigan.

Friday, Oct. 4, is the official meet and greet gathering of the participating Jeeps from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Jeep Run launch site on Grey Street, Logan, with live music, food trucks and swap and sell. Another optional trail ride is offered Friday at an off-road Vinton County trail. Registrants also can participate in a park golf tournament at Campbell Cove Campground with prizes awarded to the top three teams.

The Jeep Run is on Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 8 a.m. from the launch site on Grey Street. All Jeeps and riders must be registered to participate. Voting for 12 different Jeep contest categories takes place from 8 to 10 a.m. with winners earning trophies. Saturday’s festivities include a colorful countryside ride with three fun-filled stops, Walker Pumpkin Farm, an off-road obstacle course, and Campbell Cove Campground.

At the final stop of the day, there will be raffles, drawings, doggy photo booth and costume contest, live music, dinner option, and the opportunity to celebrate Oktob33rfest at Brewery 33.

Another exclusive trail ride on private property with Discover 4×4 Adventures will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6.

Registration for the Jeep event is $55 per person and $20 per child under 12. Registration includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, and Saturday lunch and snacks. The first 150 pre-registered participants are entered into a drawing to win one of three duck-themed goodie totes.

“We want to thank Hocking Hills Podcast for their continued support of the HVCH Foundation with this year’s Jeep Run event,” Kyle Walker, HVCH Foundation Board President, said. “This donation strengthens our ability to provide exceptional care close to home and exemplifies the spirit of community that makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve.”
